Marshall Andrew Hyde Scholarship

The Marshall Andrew Hyde scholarship was established at the Western Carolina University by his brother Arnold Hyde in memory of Marshall who was killed in Italy on May 30, 1944 during World War II. He was 20 years old, a graduate of RHS and an outstanding basketball player as well as a well-respected young man.

The recipient will be selected by the RHS scholarship committee.

Open to: Seniors who plan to attend Western Carolina University .

Application: Online to print and return with copies of parents’ federal tax forms 1040 (page one only) and their W-2 forms for the latest year these forms were filed. Note:  In the case of divorced parents, only the custodial parent’s (and current spouse’s, if remarried) financial information is required.

Amount: $1200.00 per year
