Guidelines for completing the application
- The Alpha Iota grant-in-aid is available to:
- female/male high school seniors planning to enter the field of education
- worthy college women in need of funds to complete their professional training to become educators, or
- applicants who wish to return to the teaching profession recommended by a member of Alpha Iota Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society in
North Carolina
- Alpha Iota provides two $750.00 grant-in-aid grants each year.
- Please type or write clearly in ink to complete the application.
- Money granted will be sent directly to the school, with equal payments made at the beginning of the first and second semesters.
- Consideration concerning grants is based on the following:
- Scholastic standing of student
- Attitude and moral conduct
- Financial need
- Candidates may be interviewed by the Professional Affairs Committee and if so, will be notified of the date for interviews.
- Applications must be submitted to the RHS Guidance Office by March 10th each year.
- High school students return you application to your high school counselor’s office and it will be mailed to the chair person of the Professional Affairs Committee by April 20.
- You will be notified in writing by May 15 of you acceptance or denial of the grant-in-aid.
