The Eastern Star Scholarship The Eastern Star Scholarship, sponsored by Robbinsville Eastern Star Chapter #224, is a one time award in the amount of $500. This scholarship may be awarded in full to one student attending a four year college or two awards of $250 each may be given to two students who are attending a two year college. Applicants are required to complete an application by the specified deadline and the recipients are selected by a committee of members belonging to the local Eastern Star chapter. Open to: Seniors who plan to attend college. Application: Online to print and return with copies of parents’ federal tax forms 1040 (page one only) and their W-2 forms for latest year these forms were filed. Note: In the case of divorced parents, only the custodial parent’s (and current spouse’s, if remarried) financial information is required. Return application to: Mr. Poole, RHS Guidance Counselor Deadline: March 10th Amount: a non renewable scholarship of $500 to one student attending a four year college or $250 to two students attending a two year college. Payment of funds: The scholarship is payable at the beginning of the second semester of college after the recipient submits a copy of his/her grades proving that he/she has completed a semester of course work and has earned a GPA of at least 2.5. The scholarship is then paid directly to the college. If the student fails to complete the semester or does not earn the minimum required GPA, the scholarship will not be awarded.
