Gene and Lee Meyer Scholarship

Gene and Lee Meyer establish this scholarship in 1993 to help deserving students pursue their college education.

Preference will be given to: (1) well-rounded students who are motivated to pursue higher education, but need financial assistance to do so; (2) Native American Indians who can document proof of Native American heritage and tribal affiliation; and (3) students transitioning out of foster care., Scholarships may be awarded to students of any race, creed, sex, ethnic background, or handicap.

Criteria: Good moral character, the desire to attend college and the commitment to complete the requirements for a degree, academic ability/achievement- minimum of 3.0 weighted GPA , demonstrates financial need, leadership and community service, extracurricular activities, U.S. Citizenship.

Open to: Seniors who plan to attend college.

Deadline: February 10th

Amount: Four $2,000 scholarships, renewable for three years.

Payment of funds: Payment of the scholarship awards will be made directly to the school at the beginning of the freshman year. Scholarships are renewable for three more years, depending on the student’s satisfactory performance.

Recipients will be contacted during the summer to gather information about educational plans. Funds will then be sent to the college you are attending.
