Opal Davis Long Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: March 10th

Has been established by Mrs. Long’s tins sister, Laura Davis Ricciardelli. This is a one time non renewable scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00, payable to the university second semester, upon the successful completion of the first semester by the student. This scholarship is administered by the Robbinsville Eastern Star Chapter and is designated for an honor student who is an outstanding athlete and will attend Western Carolina University , as Mrs. Long did. Both Mrs. Long and and Mrs. Ricciardelli were outstanding basketball players at RHS who went on to attend Western Carolina University . Both Sisters were inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2004.

Priority to female athletes

Selection is made by the Robbinsville High School Scholarship Committee.
